Polyester staple fiber is a synthetic fiber made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) through melt spinning and cutting processes.

It has high tensile strength, excellent heat setting properties, resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, and low moisture absorption, making it widely used in textiles, home textiles, and industrial products. Based on raw materials and production processes, it can be divided into virgin staple fiber (large-scale chemical fiber) and recycled staple fiber (small-scale chemical fiber), the latter being made from recycled polyester products. Typical product lengths range from 32-102mm, with fineness covering 1.5D-20D specifications.
