Organic cotton is a type of natural cotton produced according to organic farming standards. Its cultivation process prohibits the use of synthetic chemicals and genetically modified technologies, requiring a three-year conversion period and certification from an authoritative organization. International certification systems include the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM), while domestically, it is mainly handled by organizations such as the China Green Food Development Center. Organic cotton cultivation uses 91% less water than conventional cotton, reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 46%, and lowers water pollution levels by 98%.

This base covers 40,000 mu (approximately 6,667 hectares) of organic cotton, and is the only organic cotton base in China certified by the European Union. Its products have been included in the National List of Famous, Special, High-Quality, and New Agricultural Products. The new international GOTS 8.0 standard is planned for release in March 2026 and official implementation in March 2027, adding mandatory requirements for fiber traceability, labor rights, and land compliance.
