Polyester, as a clothing fiber, produces fabrics that are wrinkle-free and require no ironing after washing. It is often blended or interwoven with various fibers, such as cotton-polyester and wool-polyester, and is widely used in various clothing and decorative materials. Industrially, polyester is used in conveyor belts, tents, canvas, ropes, fishing nets, and especially in tire cord, where its performance is close to that of nylon. Polyester is also used in electrical insulation materials, acid-resistant filter cloth, and pharmaceutical textiles. Synthetic fibers, due to their high strength, wear resistance, acid and alkali resistance, high temperature resistance, lightweight, warmth retention, good electrical insulation, and resistance to mildew and moths, are widely used in various sectors of the national economy.

Polyester filament and chemical staple fiber: Textile fibers are divided into natural fibers and chemical fibers. Natural fibers mainly include silk, wool, cotton, and linen, while chemical fibers are further divided into synthetic fibers and man-made fibers.

Comparing polyester filament and acetate filament, since they are equivalent, polyester is classified as synthetic, while acetate is classified as man-made.
