Chip spinning is primarily used in the production of synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon.
Compared to direct spinning, chip spinning offers greater flexibility and easier variety switching, making it particularly suitable for producing small-batch, high-value-added differentiated fibers. In nylon production, the melt formed after the chips are melted is often referred to as "liquid gold" and is used to spin pre-oriented yarn (POY yarn).
